In recent years, Monica's work has taken on a new dimension through the addition of poetry.  
She writes poems and lets parts of them resonate in her visual art.  
Sometimes hidden from view, sometimes there are words clearly visible.  
Even though the big picture is composed of a series of smaller images, the monumental status 
of the imagery remains unchanged.  Monica calls this art form 'wall installations'.  
Each small painting in this installation is what she calls a 'painting-book-object'; 
a painting and a (partially unwritten) book together in one frame, 
which can inspire interaction.
